This year Developing Artists’ ensemble is collaborating with Neil Tyrone Pritchard — actor, singer, teaching artist, a Proud New York City Public School Kid and a member of LAByrinth Theater Company, where he serves as Co-Artistic Director.
THE MISSION OF DEVELOPING ARTISTS' SUMMER SHOW:
Developing Artists’ summer production class, is a unique opportunity where ensemble members work side by side with a prominent NYC artist to devise and stage a brand-new theatrical work. Each year’s lead artist collaborates with students to explore themes through writing, rehearsal, and performance. The class culminates in a full production that showcases the voices, talents, and ideas of the ensemble.
It embodies our commitment to artistic excellence and mentorship as well as reconfirms our commitment to cultivating the future of the arts, empowering young artists to thrive and excel within the vibrant landscape of New York City's performing arts. It is designed to open doors for our ensemble members, apply their training in tangible, professional settings and provide students with the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with renowned NYC artists. We aim to bridge the gap between aspiring young artists and established professionals, fostering a learning environment rich in experience, creativity, and professional growth.
